Application
Detect Organic Anion Transporting Polypeptide 2 using this Anti-Organic Anion Transporting Polypeptide 2 Antibody, C-terminus, intracellular validated for use in ELISA & WB.
Western blot: 1-10 µg/mL using ECL. Rat OATP2 is approximately 75 kD in brain and liver (Noe et al. 1997).
ELISA: 0.5-1.0 µg/mL using 1 µg/mL control peptide per well.
Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.
General description
Organic Anion Transporting Polypeptide 2 is an integral membrane protein that mediates the sodium-independent transport of organic ions, cardiac glycosides and thyroid hormones. Oatp2 is highly expressed in brain, liver, and kidney but not expressed in heart, spleen, lung, skeletal muscle, or testis.
Immunogen
A 12 amino acid peptide sequence near the cytoplasmic, C-terminus of rat OATP2. The immunogen shows no significant sequence similarity to other OATPs or other proteins.
